Around the world, Tuscany stands for art. This Italian region is a blend of marvellous places and works of art that everyone should see at least once in their life. It is the birthplace of some of the greatest artists of all history, and every city boasts countless spots (some more famous than others) where you can stop. Florence, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano: these are the historical cities you will pass through and learn about. In each of them you will find yourself surrounded by beauty and art, even when you are just wandering around, looking up to spot the many details hidden in plain sight.
Arrival of the group in the late afternoon in Montecatini Terme. Accomodation at the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 2 – Florence
Breakfast at the hotel and departure by bus to Florence. Welcome by the local guide and visit of the historical city center, a cultural destination, cradle of Renaissance: the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Baptistery, Giotto’s Bell Tower, Piazza della Signoria with Palazzo Vecchio up to at Ponte Vecchio (the Old Bridge). Lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon, free time for individual visits or shopping. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 – San Gimignano and Siena
Breakfast at the hotel and departure with your guide through the Chianti region towards San Gimignano. Visit of the small village surrounded by walls dating back to the 13th century, which embrace a medieval landscape that has preserved its ancient splendor intact. The numerous towers that dominate the landscape, spectacular and incomparable each one telling a story, represent the distinctive feature of this village. Lunch at the restaurant and continuation to Siena. Meeting with the local guide and visit of the historic center of the town which has preserved its medieval aspect: Piazza del Campo with the Public Palace and the Mangia Tower, the Cathedral, the typical narrow streets of the different “contrade”. Stop in a pastry shop in the center for a gourmet break with tasting of the typical sweets of the city tradition accompanied by an espresso or a cappuccino. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – Pistoia and Vinci
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, guided tour of Pistoia. Nestled at the foot of the hills, forests and vineyards, the city has many treasures: the Cathedral and the Baptistery. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, departure to Vinci. Guided tour of Leonardo’s House and of the Museum of the famous inventor and painter, a journey through the artist’s complete work. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 – Pisa and Lucca
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Pisa for a guided tour of its monumental center, Piazza dei Miracoli with the Duomo, the Baptistery, the Campo Santo and the most famous bell tower in the world, the Leaning Tower. Continue to Lucca for lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon guided tour of Lucca. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 6 – Return to your area
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure of the group and end of our services.
