Changing and unspoiled landscapes immersed in the green of winding valleys make the region of Umbria a region that never ceases to amaze us. Arrival of the group in the late afternoon in the region of Perugia. Accomodation at the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 2 – Perugia and Gubbio
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, guided tour of Perugia. Visit of the historical center and its spectacular monuments. Watching over the Palace of the Priors, a bronze griffin and lion dominate the elegant marble fountain of the Pisano family. Between the Middle Ages and Renaissance, the facades elegantly follow one another along Corso Vannucci, with its chic shops, to the fortifications of Rocca Paolina. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, guided tour of Gubbio, the oldest town in Umbria, a medieval town which stands with its noble facades on the slopes of Mount Ingino. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 – Spello and Assisi
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Spello. Welcome by the local guide and visit of one of the hundred most beautiful villages in Italy, where you can breathe the ancient presences of many historical periods. Continue to Assisi with a stop at Santa Maria degli Angeli to visit the Basilica that houses the Porziuncola, a small church that was the reference point for the whole life of St. Francis. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon guided tou of Assisi and the small historical city center, the Basilica of San Francesco, the Piazza del Comune with the temple of Minerva, the civic tower, the Palazzi del Capitano and del Popolo, the Cathedral and the Church of Santa Chiara. In the late afternoon, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – Orvieto and Todi
Breakfast at the hotel and departure by bus to Orvieto. Welcome by the local guide and visit of the historical city center and its famous Gothic Cathedral, some walls of which have been decorated by Fra Angelico, including the frescoes representing the Apocalypse. Lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to Todi, which has an Etruscan past but keeps its medieval atmosphere through its small streets and squares and its city walls. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 – Return to your area
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure of the group and end of our services.
