Piedmont and the Langhe

Hilly stretches as far as the eye can see, on which ancient villages and castles are perched, a succession of gentle slopes planted with vines the rows of which make geometric shapes: this is the magnificent scenery of the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, which has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

These strips of land that extend into lively shapes, modulated by the changing of the seasons, represent the outstanding quality of the Piedmont landscape and its profound and living culture of wine.

Primopiano Viaggi proposes
Day 1 – Langhe and Roero
Arrival of the group in the late afternoon in the region of Langhe. Accomodation at the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 2 – Barolo and Serralunga
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Barolo, one of the most prestigious centers of the Langhe and, precisely because of the fame of its most famous wine, known and appreciated all over the world. Visit to the Wine Museum, a strongly characterizing element of the city, a fascinating journey into the culture of the product. Lunch at the restaurant. Continue to Serralunga d´Alba to visit the castle. Not an imposing square building, but a slender castle-fortress that soars upwards, built as a military garrison and control center over the activities of the surrounding strongholds. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 – La Morra and Grinzane Cavour
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to La Morra, balcony of the Langhe. La Morra is in fact located on a hill over five hundred meters above sea level. The breathtaking panorama extends to more than 360 ° over all the Langhe. Visit of the polychrome chapel of the Madonna delle Grazie, the small church never consecrated, wanted by the Ceretto family at the beginning of the 20th century to reunite and provide shelter to the farmers in case of sudden and violent storms. On the road that connects La Morra and Grinzane Cavour, stop to visit one of the many giant benches scattered around Piedmont to promote tourism. Lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon visit of Grinzane Cavour and its castle. On a hill, the imposing palace, one of the most beautiful architectural jewels in Piedmont, dominates the vineyards. It is a majestic terracotta brick building dating back to the thirteenth century, renovated during the seventeenth century, which currently houses the Regional Enoteca and a Wine Museum. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – Alba and Neive
