Gardens and Villas of Veneto

The Republic of Venice has skilfully learned the art of garden design from central Italy, France, and England. From the villas on the banks of the Brenta river to the locations designed by Palladio, the architecture and sumptuous decorations include parks brimming with fountains, terraces and statues, delightful places bearing witness to the glory of their owners.
Primopiano Viaggi proposes
Day 1 – Veneto Region
Arrival of the group in the Veneto region. Accomodation at the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 2 – Verona and Palazzo Giusti / Villa Arvedi
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Verona. Meeting with the local guide and visit of the city center, walking through the alleys that lead Piazza dei Signori to the gardens of Palazzo Giusti. Dating back to the 16th century, they constitute a magical place where natural and artificial elements blend closely, occupying a slope of the hill of San Pietro, which adapts wonderfully to a terraced arrangement. While the lower part is “Italian-style” with meadows bordered by boxwood and myrtle, the upper part is “English-style” and hosts numerous shrubs that make up a varied range of greens. Lunch in a restaurant and transfer to Cuzzano to visit Villa Arvedi, which has a beautiful Italian garden. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 – Padua and its Botanic Garden
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Padua. Meeting with the local guide and visit of the city and its gardens. It starts from Prato della Valle, a seventeenth-century garden square whose elliptical shape is inspired by that of the ancient theater that once occupied its seat. Continue to the Botanical Garden of Padua, considered the first botanical garden in the world for the richness of its proposal. It has kept its original plan (1545), circular in shape and surrounded by water. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it first saw lilacs and sunflowers growing in Italy during the 16th century. Lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon visit of the city center and the Basilica of Sant’Antonio. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – Vicenza, Villa La Rotonda and Villa Valmarana
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Vicenza. Meeting with the local guide and visit of the historical city center with the Olympic Theater. Lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon visit to Villa La Rotonda and Villa Valmarana. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 – Villa Barbarigo Valsanzibio / Villa Pisani

Day 6 – Villa Barbaro Maser / Bassano del Grappa
